East West

When you miss the first part of a topic and only learn the rest of the lesson. Yes, that’s what happened to me in geography class,I did not notice when teacher told “if the north direction is in front of you, then the west direction is on the left and the east direction is on your right“. I only heard this in the classroom, ”The east is on the right and the west is on the left.”

And that was the beginning of a ten-year or more controversy in my life.

I always opened my arms, wherever I was and thought to myself : ”Now the east is on the right and west on the left but as soon as I turned, the place of the east and the west changed!”

Motherland

The walls were blue, everything was rusted , the old doors had two type of knockers ; right side for women and left side for men. The young girl had married years years ago and little by little was disappearing in the corners of life. She loved biking, but she had to get married.

Dear mama I just had this photo of you as if rusted over time. The cashmere fabric in a dowry is more important than a young girl’s feelings. The dowry to destroy her future and deprive her from education in middle east.

Dance in Throne 

The memory of İstanbul. Differences of the same religion in two different countries. A rejected poet who was praised somewhere else (Rumi) . Innocence of a child who is forced to worship or otherwise get punished ; it is me at the age of 5 or 6.

Religions together, church and mosque side by side on the way of people, The poem that is written in gold say; I love to dance frenzied among the crowd as if I dance in throne. And imaginations of a child thinks people are being watched from the space ; maybe from Mars! She asks if astronauts do it !
